The Solheim Cup comes to Valhalla
The month's one big sporting date is the 21st Solheim Cup at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, the United States against Europe in women's golf. The matches run from Friday, September 8 to Sunday, September 10 on the course that hosted the 2008 Ryder Cup. It is Kentucky's first Solheim Cup and the LPGA Tour's first stop in the state in more than 50 years.
